Finally!

After trying 4 other writing apps and being dissatisifed , I ended up with Scrivener. I do a lot of photography, and my benchmark for a good camera is “does the functionality get in the way of taking images”, if the answer is yes, then the camera is a dud. I judge writing software the same way, and so far all the others have UI problems that detract from the writing experience. Scrivener does not and enhances it wonderfully. It does take some time spent watching the tutorials to get a handle on the features, but once learned you realize the power of them. Sadly I burned through some money before finding Scrivener.
